MWF Shipping information and Exchange policy
Mountain Woods Furniture is proud to offer nationwide and global shipping. Sales tax is only charged for items delivered within the state of Colorado.
Shipping costs vary based on your location within the USA and the quantity of furniture ordered. We strive to keep your shipping costs as low as possible and shop around for you to get you the best rate.
Shipping cost for furniture:
Typically, shipping within the continental U.S. will be approximately 12-20% of your furniture order. Special circumstances can apply such as residential vs. commercial drop locations. Note that small furniture orders may be subject to a minimum shipping charge.
You are welcome to call our store for a more accurate quote before or after you place your order, or you may complete your order on line and we will contact you to confirm the final shipping charges, which will be added to your order total.
Shipping cost for accessories:
For accessories, you will be charged only for our actual UPS shipping cost. We do not charge any handling fee like many stores do.
Nationwide Shipping:
This is done either by Mountain Woods Furniture manufacturer, UPS Ground or via a freight company, depending on the size of the items being shipped. If shipping by a freight company, all of your furniture is custom palleted and crated to protect it during transit. Shipping by freight is curbside delivery only and must be relatively accessible. If you live in a remote location, it is still possible to have your furniture delivered, but additional charges may apply.
Global Shipping
This is done on a case by case basis as the requirements for global shipping vary greatly. Our shipping estimates will include the shipping and packaging costs. However, you will need to check with your local customs department to determine any extra duty fees.
Colorado Deliveries:
We are able to offer personal shipping of our furniture within a 120 mile radius of Fort Collins, CO. You can estimate the shipping to be around 10% of your total order. Our local delivery service includes bringing your furniture inside your home and setting it up if needed.
Important shipping procedures
Please fully inspect every shipment received before signing any bill of lading. Once the shipper has left your premises and the bill of lading is signed, you have no recourse. While damage is rare during shipping, it does happen. All damage should be noted on the bill of lading by you and confirmed by the carrier. If the furniture appears to have obvious damage, please refuse the delivery. Do not throw any of the packing materials away until all furniture is completely unpacked and thoroughly inspected. Noting any damage on the bill of lading and keeping the packing materials protects you from being liable for the incurred damage.
Exchanges, returns, and refunds
Stock pieces and accessories may be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. No returns or refunds. Proof of purchase must be shown at time of exchange. No exchanges or returns on custom furniture orders or custom orders for accessories. All shipping charges incurred to facilitate exchanges will be paid for by customer.
Manufacturer's lifetime guarantee
All of our furniture is guaranteed for life by the manufacturer! After careful inspection by our staff, we will elect to repair or replace furniture determined to have a manufacturing defect. Any associated shipping costs will be paid for by the customer. Please note that damage caused by pets is not covered under any circumstances.
